Cafe Brocante

Cafe Brocante brings a French-inspired stop to Bluebush Estate in Lovedale, near Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. The cafe operates from a vintage food truck, serving authentic French crêpes in both sweet and savoury styles alongside barista-made coffee. It is a focused offering rather than a large restaurant menu, making it a natural choice for a relaxed breakfast, brunch or coffee break while exploring the wine country around Newcastle.

The setting is a key part of the experience. The cafe has outdoor garden seating and views across the surrounding country, with an undercover area available in wet weather. Cafe Brocante opened at Bluebush Estate in June 2025 through a collaboration between Bluebush Estate and Alexandra and Guillaume of Pardon My French Antiques. That antiques business has since moved to a Branxton workshop and local markets, while the cafe remains at the Lovedale estate. From 12 July 2026, the site also plans to welcome Donarch Fine Chocolate, an artisan chocolate house with tastings available by appointment. This adds another reason to linger, particularly for visitors interested in French-style food, coffee and handcrafted treats.

The cafe suits visitors looking for an informal outdoor stop, including couples, solo travellers and small groups touring the Hunter Valley. The venue also invites enquiries for children’s parties, hens brunches, elopements, baby showers and group reservations. It is open Friday to Sunday from 7am to 4pm, with the chocolate house listed as open on those days from 10am to 4pm.
