East End Hub

East End Hub is a cafe and restaurant at 3/3 King St in Newcastle East, established in 2015 by executive chef and owner Anthony Kocon. The kitchen focuses on locally sourced, fresh seasonal produce, with food prepared to order by a team of chefs. Coffee is a central part of the offering, alongside tea, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes and iced drinks.

The menus cover breakfast, lunch, kids’ meals, desserts and daily specials. Breakfast choices include ricotta hotcakes with banana and honeycomb butter, corn fritters with a choice of bacon, smoked salmon or halloumi, a substantial Big Hub Breakfast, and the Hub Benedict with poached eggs and a choice of toppings. Lunch ranges from a roast pumpkin, quinoa and goat’s cheese salad to king prawn spaghetti, straight calamari with an Asian cucumber salad, a steak burger, market fish and a vegan bowl. The venue also notes that it offers many gluten-free options and can provide vegan choices on request; guests are asked to discuss allergies and dietary restrictions with staff.
