Mountain Wellness Co is a spa and wellbeing practice in The Junction, Newcastle, built around personalised care rather than standardised treatments. Its stated aim is to help people “unplug to recharge” while reconnecting body, mind and soul. Sessions begin with listening and are shaped around how you are feeling, what you need and how you would like to feel afterwards, making the venue particularly suited to solo visitors looking for a considered, individual experience.

The treatment list spans massage, body treatments, facials and broader mind-and-body wellbeing. The Completely Custom sessions are the clearest expression of the practice’s approach: a consultation over organic tea and a custom aromatherapy foot bath is used to design a session that may combine massage, bodywork, scrubs, mud, facial work, coaching, intuitive guidance, body reading or energy work, depending on the appointment. There are also dedicated treatments such as Lymphatic Body Detox & Drainage with Cupping, which combines body brushing, exfoliation, slide cupping and manual lymphatic drainage.

Several longer packages give the spa menu a distinctive local character. Yooralla, meaning “Embrace”, combines exfoliation, a mask or mud treatment, aromatherapy, a native foot bath and a full-body massage. Akuna, meaning “To Flow”, focuses on chakra and energy-centre balance through treatment oils, crystals, intuitive guidance, meditation and massage. UMINA, meaning “To Rest”, brings together a native bush foot bath, exfoliation, body mud, signature massage, an alpine botanical facial, a hair mask and an Aboriginal-inspired head massage. The Worragi Facial + Custom Signature Massage uses Australian botanical remedies, marine extracts, native plant essential oils and gua sha and native stone sculpting tools.
